Stanley John Sawicz

Stanley John Sawicz, age 86, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 6, 2019, surrounded by his family. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Anne Sawicz; his children, Michael (Amy) Sawicz, and Paddi (Todd) Muraski; 4 grandchildren, Stosh, Madeline, Molly and Owen. 
He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley P. and Aniela Sawicz, of Philadelphia, PA.

Stan “Poppy” will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He was a Korea War veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Honeywell after 35 years of service. His favorite hobby was being in a bowling league over at Stars and Strikes, and he never missed a Braves game. 

A funeral mass will be held for Mr. Sawicz on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Cumming, GA, with a reception at the church to follow.
