Gertrell “Ma Cannon” Jenkins Cannon

Mrs. Gertrell “Ma Cannon” Jenkins Cannon age 104 of Toccoa went to heaven on July 4, 2019 at Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of the late Tom and Arvie Margaret Massey Jenkins, she was born April 19, 1915 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all of her life. She was retired from Stephens County Hospital and a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Dudley Cannon in 1999, son-in-law C.C. Collier, one grandchild Andy, siblings Glover Jenkins, Kermit Jenkins, Estelle Wilson, Ellie Belle Wilson and Lessie Stowe.

Survivors include her daughter Gail Collier of Toccoa, son and daughter-in-law Billy and Carolyn Cannon of Eastanollee, grandchildren Paula Cannon and Thim Crump of Toccoa, Michael Collier of Toccoa, Holly and Tony Martin of Hoschton, Georgia, great-grandchildren Ashley and David Uillrich and Andrew and Magan Crump, great-great grandchildren Kennedy, Riley, Reagan , Kassidy, Brody and Gabe.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 8, 2019 at 4 P.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Jewell Gaines, the Reverend Delbert McCall and the Reverend Randall Dawson officiating.

The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 6 P.M. til 8 P.M. and Sunday from 2 P.M. til 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. til 8 P.M. The following gentlemen will service as pallbearers Andrew Crump, Thim Crump, Michael Collier, Tony Martin, Brody Crump and Tommy Wilson.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Teddy King officiating.
