Darlene Farrell Bost, age 77, of Roswell, Georgia passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019.
Darlene Bost's first love was the violin. As a classically trained violinist, she was always at the top of her section, holding concert mistress position for all of her years in high school. When she went to the University of Miami, her passion for her instrument grew and she decided to go into music education as a career. She taught in the Orlando public schools, and eventually taught violin privately, strictly following the Suzuki method of teaching. Throughout the years she had studios of up to 65 children and adults that she taught violin to. In addition, she played in various orchestras in Florida and Georgia as a hobby.
She was a dedicated wife and mother of five children, and nine grandchildren.She is survived by her husband Warren Boylan; daughters and sons-in-law Kelly and Joe Chandler, of Roswell, Georgia; Marcy and Dan Trickel, of Dawsonville, Georgia; Shannon and Miguel Martinez, of Mesa, Arizona; Darlyn and Justin Trickel, of Cumming, Georgia; son Shawn Bost, of Buford, Georgia; sister-in-law Jacqueline Farrell, of Sebastian, Florida; brother-in-law Don Amos, of Roswell, Georgia; grandchildren Brigid Chandler; Mark Chandler; Maura Chandler; Nick Trickel and Fiancé Amanda Maxfield; Jonathan Trickel; Miles Martinez; Jacob Trickel; Jace Trickel; Joshua Trickel. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 1 to 2PM with a 2PM memorial service in the Chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia 30040. 770-886-9899.
