Tom Ficklin

Tom Ficklin, age 93, of Dacula, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 29, 2019 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Ficklin was born in Atmore, AL and was a graduate of Auburn University. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WWII, where he received the following medals, Philippine Liberation; Asiatic Pacific; American Campaign; and WWII Victory Metal. He was a Mechanical Engineer with Plantation Pipe Line Company. Mr. Ficklin enjoyed living in Hiwassee before moving back to Gwinnett County to be with his family.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cleo Ficklin; second wife, Betty Ficklin; and parents, N.L. & Lillie Hill Ficklin. He is survived by sons & daughter-in-law, Sidney Ficklin, Dacula; Roy & Rachel Ficklin, Buford; granddaughter, Jennifer Ficklin Bailey; great granddaughter, Sydney Bailey, both of Flowery Branch; and numerous other family and friends.
