Douglas Newton Dryden

Douglas Newton Dryden, age 96, of Flowery Branch, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James Raymond and Elma Dryden; wife of fifty-three years, Charlotte Dryden.  He is survived by his children, Mari-Jo Dryden, Winston-Salem, NC, Douglas J. and Joella Dryden, Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Cortney and Jeremy Clements, Spartanburg, SC; brother, Earl Dryden, Novi, MI; former wife, Vivian Jaracz-Dryden.  Mr. Dryden was an Army Air Force veteran of WWII. He was co-owner with wife, Charlotte, of Jackson’s Music from 1979-1995.  He was a member of Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church, Flowery Branch, GA.  Funeral services will be held Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Bradbury officiating.  The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Committal service will be at 2:00 p.m. at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, GA.
