Little Skyler Michael Troy Carrell, age 3 passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Stephens County Hospital.
A son of SGT TommyLee and Hope Scroggs Carrell, U.S. Army (Active Duty) he was born March 22, 2016 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was a member of Tom’s Creek Baptist Church. He attended Wee-Care at Ebenezer Baptist Church. He loved super heroes, superman, policemen, loved army trucks and fire trucks. He loved playing with mommy and daddy. He was a super hero himself, giving two heart valves to children so they could live.
Survivors include his parents, TommyLee and Hope Carrell of Toccoa; brother, Logan Carrell of the home; grandparents, Johnny and Sheila Scroggs of Eastanollee, Roy Carrell of Borger, Texas and Brent and Kimberly Parkinson of Martin; aunts and uncles, Savannah Carrell, Shane Carrell, Amber and Kenny Ford, Terry and Becca Scroggs, and Josh Scroggs and many other family members who loved him.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 20, 2019, 2 O’clock p.m. at the Tom’s Creek Baptist Church with The Reverend Wayne Marcus and Mr. Johnny Scroggs officiating. The following first-responders and Skyler’s superheroes will serve as pallbearers, father TommyLee Carrell, Jody Marcus, Quentin Mitchell, Travis Terrell, Randy Westmoreland and Bradley Collins.
The family will be at the home on Tatum Drive and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.acree.davisfh.com.
This is a celebration of life and the family requests that all attendees wear clothes of color or superhero attire.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Skyler Michael Troy Carrell.
