Cathy Christine Elrod

Mrs. Cathy Christine Elrod, age 62, of Danielsville died Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Elrod was born in Chicago to the late, David A. and Helen Gray Moon, Sr.  Mrs. Elrod was a member of Freedom Church of God and was a retired administrative assistant at the University of Georgia.

Mrs. Elrod is survived by her husband, Randy Elrod of Danielsville; daughters, Chanda Foster and Brandi Elrod both of Danielsville; sons, Shane Elrod of Danielsville and Bo Elrod of Commerce; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brothers, David A. Moon II of Danielsville and Bud Gray of TN; sisters, Theresa Catlin of Chicago, IL and Rhonda Perry of Commerce.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 19^th at 2:00 PM from Freedom Church of God with Pastor Johnny Willis and Brother Tim Garrett officiating with the interment following in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 6-8 PM.
