J.B. Turpin

Mr. J.B. Turpin age 92 of Eastanollee passed away Friday June 14, 2019 at his daughter’s home.

A son of the late Frank and Lucille Turner Turpin, he was born in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all of his life. He was retired from Coats and Clark and a member of Eastanollee Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine Franklin Turpin in 1998 and two brothers Jack and Roosevelt Turpin.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law Shirley and Lee Dickerson and Gail and Mike Powell both of Eastanollee, four grandchildren Cindy and Barry Spencer, Teresa and Richard Cash, Kim and Mark Randall and Chris and Jessi Powell, great grandchildren Katie Grace, Rilee, Gage, Zoe, Jayce, Josie and one great-grandchild Asa, brothers and sisters-in-law Junior and Betty Turpin of Eastanollee and Joe Dan and Edith Turpin of Lavonia.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 15, 2019 at 11 A.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Tommy Childress officiating. The family will be at home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home from 6 P.M. til 8 P.M. on Friday.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Ronnie Turpin, Joe Dan Turpin, Mark Randall, Chris Powell, Barry Spencer and Richard Cash.

Interment will follow in Eastanollee Baptist Church Cemetery
