Barbara Burke Flowers

Barbara Burke Flowers, age 83 of Buford passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Ivy Springs Manor, surrounded by her family.

Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday June 7, 2019 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with inurnment at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Father Branson Hipp will officiate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Barbara Flowers was born May 29, 1936 to the late Thomas J. & Winnie Burke in Nashville, Tennessee.  She was retired from Georgia State University, where she was an Office Manager, and a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. 

Barbara Flowers is survived by her children, James J. Flowers, IV of Rancho Mirage, California, Dorothy Lynn Flowers of Braselton, Carol Laur of Flowery Branch, and Andrew Flowers of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Jon Flowers, Nicholas Flowers, Teresa Laur, Andrew Laur and Alex Flowers; and siblings, Joan Cochran of Big Canoe, Mary Batts of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Thomas J. Burke of Memphis, Tennessee.
