Billy Joe Linual Blocker, age 88 of Jefferson, GA passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019.
Born on Sept. 22, 1930 in Dallas, TX, he was the son of the late Leonard Leon and Mary Elizabeth Bennett Blocker. He was the widow of Dorothy Earlene Simpkins Blocker and an auto mechanic.
Survivors include sons, Billy Blocker, Gainesville, Royce Blocker, Jefferson, John Blocker, Macon, Ronnie Blocker, Gainesville; sisters, Juanita Spain, Ft. Worth, Mary Harwell, Weatherford, Wanda Nicholson, Ft. Worth, Junie Hoopingardner, Lula; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy L. Blocker and Rev. Christopher Blocker officiating. Burial will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12 pm until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
