Louise Smith Holcomb

 Louise Smith Holcomb, age 82 of Mt. Airy, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2019.

Born in Mt. Airy, Georgia on March 28, 1937 to the late Harold and Martha Schmidt Smith. Mrs. Holcomb loved children and dedicated many years serving in the children’s nursery at church. She was a homemaker and lifelong member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Wilborn Holcomb; a son, Keith Holcomb; twin daughters, Tammy & Cammy; sister, Catherine Cantrell.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin & Julie Holcomb of Cumming, Brent & Crystal Holcomb of Commerce; grandchildren, Jarrett & Sydney Holcomb, Jayden Holcomb, Jonathan Holcomb; brother and sister-in-law, Boyd & Floye Smith of Toccoa; sisters and brother-in-law, Eugenie & Rev. Billy Burrell, Lenora Smith and Helen Smith all of Mt. Airy; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am, Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Hazel Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Scott Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
