Dorothy Nell Burruss, age 88, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Dorothy was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents,J.R. and Mary Ruth (Wallace) Burruss; brothers, Reeves Burruss, Ed Burruss, Leland Burruss; sisters, Maggie Wilbanks, Lucille Phillips; brothers in law, Wilson Wilbanks, Cliff Strickland; sisters in law, Vertie Lee Burruss, Gwynell Burruss, and Rebecca Burruss.

Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Betty Strickland of Gainesville, Ineal (Ray) Burton of Cumming, Kathleen (Harold) Pruitt of Cumming; brothers, Billy Burruss, Larry (Mary) Burruss; sister in law, Edna Burruss of Cumming; brother in law, Buddy Phillips of Cumming and numerous other loving relatives and friends..

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Coal Mountain Baptist Church in Cumming, GA, with Rev. Gary Martin, Rev. Danny Bennett and Dr. Shannon Mize officiating. Interment will follow at Coal Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 3 to 8 PM, Monday, from 4 to 8 PM and Tuesday, from noon until the hour of service.
