Glenda Marie Erwin

Glenda Marie Erwin, 80, of Alto, Georgia and formerly of Flora passed away Friday evening, May 31, 2019 at her home in Alto, Georgia.

She was born on May 9, 1939 in Flora, the daughter of the late Foy and Irene (Dennis) Bailey.  She was united in marriage to Don Erwin on March 22, 1958 in Hernando, Mississippi and together they shared 61 years of marriage.

Glenda enjoyed her pets, dancing and traveling with her husband in their RV’s over the past 30+ years.

She is survived by her husband, Don of Alto, Georgia along with two sons:  Dr. Steven (Lori) Erwin of Pittsburg, KS and Mark (Kelly) Erwin of Gainesville, GA.  Also surviving are 7 grandchildren Audrey (Micah) Grimes of Noble, IL; Jace of Kansas City, KS; Liza, Keller and Jaxx of Pittsburg, KS; Steven of Woodstock, GA and Sara Jo of Athens, GA.  Also surviving are four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother – Eldon Bailey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia.

Private graveside services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday June 11, 2019 with burial at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
