Evelyn (Vicki) K. Peek

Evelyn (Vicki) K. Peek, age 83 of Clarkesville, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019.

Mrs. Peek was born in Cornelia, Georgia on October 14, 1935 to the late George Ernest and Mary Elizabeth Batson King. Mrs. Peek was owner and operator of a florist and had worked at Belk between 2006 and 2010. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. Blackshear; brothers, Rev. Neil King, Marley King, Charles King and Lee King; sister, Elizabeth Carr.

Surviving are her loving husband, David Peek of Clarkesville; son, Rockne Blackshear of Charlotte, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Bret and Kathleen Blackshear of St. Augustine, FL; grandchild, Naomi Blackshear; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Bill Adams of Clarkesville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Monday, June 3, 2019 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Hicks and Rev. Brion Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.

Those gentlemen honored as pallbearers are; Ken Adams, Cliff Baird, Kevin Belford, Vincent King, Brad King, and Andy Thomas.
