Michael Dearman

On April 23, 2019 Michael Dearman, loving husband and father passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family and friends.
Mike was born in Gainesville Georgia on May 2^nd 1953.His younger years were spent in Gainesville and summers in Mississippi. Later he lived in Jacksonville where he spent many hours surfing.
Mike served as a Navy Hospital Corpsman in Jacksonville Florida, and Gulfport, Mississippi with a deployment in Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean during the Iranian hostage crisis. He met his wife of 41 years, Dianne, while they were both in the Navy stationed in Jacksonville.
Mike was a modern day Renaissance man with many and varied interests. From carpentry to computer programming, sailing to string theory, sports to scifi books...Mike really knew something about almost everything. He never stopped learning or laughing.  He loved surfing, camping, and a good joke. Anyone who’s had Mike’s barbequed ribs would probably agree that they were the best they’ve ever had!
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill, his mother, Ellaree, his brother, Malcom, and his son, Ben.  He is survived by his wife, Dianne and his daughter, Katie. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 1 at 2PM preceded by a visitation at 1PM at Memorial Park South, Flowery Branch, 4121 Falcon Parkway, Flowery Branch, GA 30542
