He attended the Atlanta Division of UGA but remained a loyal Georgia Tech fan. His work ethic was established early on as a young worker at King Hardware followed by a thirty-two year career at Eastman Kodak. After retirement, he was in real estate for twenty years and was honored Agent of the Year multiple times.  Bob was happily married to Jean Cooper Saine for nineteen years before she lost her life to cancer. On May 28, 1972 he was blessed with his second wife, Virginia Fleming Bruce Saine. They raised their four daughters in their home in Sugar Hill where they still reside. Frequent family gatherings, that now include eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, have instilled fond memories of Bob, aka Daddy, Pa Pa. Bob enjoyed being around people and sharing stories of a life well lived. He and Virginia traveled extensively, filling his bucket list along the way. He also enjoyed playing golf, watching GA Tech sports, Atlanta sports and anything his grandchildren and great grandchildren were part of. He loved his backyard and kept the birds well fed with numerous bird feeders. Bob loved Sugar Hill United Methodist Church, where he was a member for forty-seven years and served as an usher and greeter. He was a part of the Friendship Sunday School Class, and the Keenagers.
