Amalie Reeves Helbert Harvill

Obituary Date: Sunday, May 26, 2019

Amalie Reeves Helbert Harvill, 82, of Duluth, GA died May 26, 2019. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Duluth First United Methodist Church with Rev. C. Kay Fuino and Rev. Tavye Morgan officiating. An urnside service with be held, Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Millen Cemetery, Millen, GA.
Mrs. Harvill, a native of Burke County, GA and grew up in Jenkins County, GA, was a member of the Duluth First United Methodist Church. She graduated from the Georgia Teacher's College in Statesboro, GA which is now Georgia Southern University, She taught school in Callahan, FL and then worked and retired from G. E. Credit in Atlanta and AT&T. She was a member of the Gwinnett Medical Center Women's Advisory Council and was a volunteer with the Duluth Fall Festival for many years.
Preceded in death by her, husband, James Maurice Helbert; parents, Rhesa H. and Kate Carpenter Reeves; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Pat Moore; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hubert and Nell Reeves, Joe and Dorothy Reeves; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Ware Norris; brother and sister-in-law, Robert A. and Esther Reeves; sister, Susan Jane Reeves, she is survived by her husband, Buddy Harvill of Duluth, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Tim Lomax of Dexter, MI; grandchildren, Jason, Rachel and Sabrina; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
