Betty Ruth Chapman Ward

Mrs. Betty Ruth Chapman Ward, age 77, of Cornelia, Ga passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Lula, GA. Reverend Grady Saxon and Reverend Charles Grant will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ruth was born on November 01, 1941 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Earl Chapman and Gussie Lomax Chapman. She was a retired nurse aid for Home Health Care and a member of Lula Worship Center. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, M.D. Ward.

Mrs. Ward is survived by her son, Mark Ward of Cornelia, grand-son, Corey Ward, grand-son, Tyler Ward, sister, Mildred Anglin of Alto, sister, Juanita Smith of Gainesville, and sister, Joyce Garner of Gainesville.
