Mrs. Hazel Lee Jenkins Scott, age 90 of Highview Road, Toccoa passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Lloyd and Alpha Bentley Jenkins, she was born November 24, 1928 in Transylvania County, North Carolina having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was retired from Coats and Clark. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and an honorary member of Eastanollee Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Scott and by a son, Kenneth Scott.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Willis of Toccoa; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Shirley Scott and James and Nancy Scott both of Toccoa; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Sherron Jenkins of Houston, Missouri.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 23, 2019, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Ricky McFarlin officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Johnny Nations, Larry Segars, Jason Norris, Jamey Scott, Eli Willis and Joshua Scott.
The family will be at the home on Highview Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Hazel Jenkins Scott.
