Wynell Waycaster

Wynell Waycaster, age 78, of Cartersville, GA and formerly of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Waycaster, Sr. and Missouri Freeman Waycaster, daughter, Teri Matthews; brother, Jerry Waycaster; brother-in-law, Rudolph Born; and step mother, Erdell Waycaster.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Smith; five grandchildren, Brittany Matthews, Andy Matthews, Benjamin, Samuel, Elijah Smith; sister, Murrelle Waycaster Born, Buford, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Michael and Patti Waycaster, Buford, GA and Homer Waycaster, Jr., Buford, GA; niece, Penny Born; nephews, Keith and Tony Born, Chad and Craig Waycaster, and Kevin and Kerry Waycaster; and special friends, James Filhart and Fran Bragg. Ms. Waycaster was born August 4, 1940 in Buford, GA. She received her education at Buford High School in Buford, GA. She was a homemaker and she had also worked at Georgia Shoe Company in Flowery Branch, GA and several automobile dealerships in Buford and Gainesville. Later in life, she moved to the Rome, GA and Cartersville, GA area. Ms. Waycaster was of the Baptist Faith.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Tidd officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, May 16th, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
