Gregory "Greg" Smith

Gregory “Greg” Smith, age 62, of Winder, GA passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

He was preceded in death by father, Henry V. Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of ten years, Wanda Sue Smith, Winder; children, Jennifer Bartley, Milledgeville, GA, Candice Worley, Gainesville, GA, Christina and Samuel Anefils, Winder, GA, Casey and Jasmine Smith, Clarkesville, GA, Courtney and Patrick VanNorman, Cumming, GA; step-children, Frank Waits, Winder, GA and Brittany Little, Winder, GA; seventeen grandchildren; mother, Geneva Roberts Frey and husband Pete, Dacula, GA; sister, Lisa Wilhite, Madison, GA; step-sisters, Pam Frey, Lawrenceville, GA and Yvonne Frey, Dacula, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Smith was born on November 17, 1956 in Atlanta, GA. He was a 1974 graduate of Avondale High School in Avondale, and was employed with Oconee Foundations, Inc as a sales manager for the past five years. Mr. Smith was an avid golfer.  He also loved football, baseball, music, and was an avid UGA football fan.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Woody Bowen officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. May 19, 2019 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Greg Smith.
