Shirley Ann Shumate James

Shirley Ann Shumate James, age 70, of Winder, GA passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her son, Shane Hyde; parents, Walter and Annie Lou Shumate; sister, Raenell Holcomb; brothers, Donald, Jerry, Jimmy Ray Holcomb.  She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Tina Hyde, Sugar Hill, GA; grandson, Chad Ernest James Hyde; sisters Leary Jean Dorsey, Hoschton, GA, Jean Holcomb, Hoschton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Edwinna Holcomb, Homer, GA, Ronald Holcomb, Hoschton, GA, Joseph and Renee Holcomb, Commerce, GA, Tony Holcomb, Monroe, GA, Danny Joe Holcomb, Hoschton, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mrs. James was born May 3. 1949 in Atlanta, GA.  She received her education at Gainesville High School.  Mrs. James was a retired waitress from Waffle House in Braselton, GA and was of the Baptist faith.  Graveside services will be held at Hoschton City Cemetery, Hoschton, GA, on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Everest Carlisle officiating.  Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the funeral home.  The family will receive friends at Graveside Service on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
