Mary Lucille Sharpe Jones

Mary Lucille Sharpe Jones age 76 of Flowery Branch passed away on Thursday May 02, 2019 at her residence.

          Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday May 05, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend John Batusic and Governor Nathan Deal will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday May 04, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

          Mary was born on December 14, 1942 in Decatur, Indiana to the late Paul Sharpe and Louise Kiess Sharpe. She and her husband Dean Jones were joined in marriage in 1961. After marriage they lived on the family farm for 58 years. Mrs. Jones was the chairman of the Hall County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee for 34 years. She also served on the Flowery Branch City Council for multiple terms.  Mary was always interested in the progress of the town of Flowery Branch. She was a small business owner and a member of Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Dean Jones.

          Mrs. Jones is survived by her daughter, Ann Jones of Flowery Branch, son-in-law, Ike Swofford of Flowery Branch, cousin, Dale and Hana Jones of Flowery Branch, longtime friend, Janice Bryans of Flowery Branch, and number of other relatives and friends.
