Donald Marvin English

Mr. Donald Marvin English age 78 of Toccoa passed away Wednesday May 1, 2019 at his residence.

A son of the late Marvin and Dorothy Caudell English, he was born January 2, 1941 in Banks County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed with Robertson Furniture Company of 35 years. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where he served as deacon. He is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn McClain English in 2015.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Donna and Rick Adams of Toccoa, two grandchildren Sheena and Brian Thomason and Shelly Rider of Toccoa, three great-grandchildren Griffin, Kaelynn and Vayda, sisters Patsy Downer of Cornelia, Patricia Yarber and Lisa Roper of Homer.

Funeral services will be held Friday May 3, 2019 at 2 P.M. at Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Stacey Penland and the Reverend Jewell Gaines officiating. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 P.M. til 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. til 8 P.M.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Paco Sanchez, Doug Westmoreland, Lane Goss, Jackie LeCroy, Michael Collins, Richie Yarber, Johnny Rider and Billy Atkinson.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Albert Hudson officiating.

Military Honors will be conducted by the Georgia National Guard Honor Guard and The V.F.W. Post 4346 of Toccoa.
