Mary Hope Mila

Mary Hope Mila, age 76, of Hoschton, GA peacefully passed away on Friday April 26, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jose Mila.  Mrs. Mila is survived by her two children John Mila, Palm City, FL and Nicole Mila, Hoschton, GA; grandchildren Emily Mila, Michelle Mila, Audrey Mila, Valentino Roberson, Sebastian Roberson, and Julian Roberson. 

Mrs. Mila was born on September 11, 1942 in Chattanooga, TN.  She graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.  Her career as a Systems Analyst included working for NCR Corp. and AT&T.  She enjoyed reading crime-mysteries and historical novels,  loved music of all kinds, playing games such as Sudoko, had a fond love for animals, and was actively involved in her children's and grand-children’s lives. She was extremely intelligent with a kind heart, a soft voice, and sharp wit and was never one to shy away from a good political debate. She always took time to talk with and listen to her friends and family and was loved dearly by everyone who knew her.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday May 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Ferguson officiating. The graveside service will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park 501 Memorial Dr. Chattanooga, TN at 3:00 p.m.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 1 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
