James Harold “Cooter” Lawson, age 71 of Jefferson, GA passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019 at his residence.
Born on June 30, 1947 in Nauvoo, AL, he was the son of the late Jack and Reathel Wimpy Lawson. He was a self employed carpenter, a US Army veteran, of the Baptist faith, a 1966 graduate of North Gwinnett High School, and was preceded in death by sisters, Diana Phillips and Donna Thompson.
Survivors include daughters, Camillia Lawson, Flowery Branch, Carlotta Norris, Jefferson, Christy Sanders, Jefferson; sisters, Frances Fuentes, CA, Jennifer Farley, AL; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3 pm Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bo Whisanant officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 am until time of the service at the funeral home.
