Faye Rogers Dowty

Mrs Faye Rogers Dowty, age 63 of Jonaquil Avenue, Auburn, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Barrow County, Georgia.  

The daughter of the late Guy Rogers and Nadine Hurst Whitfield, she was born in Stephens County, Georgia having lived most of her youth in Toccoa before relocating to the suburbs of Atlanta.  Faye was a Property Manager for many years before becoming a Nanny to Wyatt & Avery.  She attended Free Chapel and was an active member of the Women’s Ministry and loved to sing in the choir.   Faye was a special person who loved her Children, Grandchildren, Family and Friends unconditionally.  Her home was always open. She also loved to travel and take vacations with her Children. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate Robert “Mick” Dowty, Sister Pat Haynes, Brother Wayne Williams and Step Father Roy Whitfield.

Survivors include daughters and son in laws Sheila and Kenny Burke, Krissi & Adam Walton; Sons Brian Canup and Brett Canup; brother and Sister in Law Ronnie and Karen Rogers, brother Gary Rogers and sister Star Tumminclli; fifteen (15) grandchildren and one (1) great granddaughter; Several nieces and nephews.

We have tragically lost our loving Mother, Nanny, Sister & Aunt, but she gained her Angel wings and will suffer no more.

Memorial services will be Saturday, May 4, 2019, 1 O’clock pm. In the Hillcrest Chapel if The Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.
