Margaret Ruth “Aunt Ruth” Webb

Mrs. Margaret Ruth “Aunt Ruth” Webb age 92 formerly of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday April 24, 2019 at Piedmont Hospital in Athens, Georgia following an illness.

Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday April 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Blair Tolbert will officiate. The family will receive friends on   Saturday April 27, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.   

Margaret was born on September 20, 1926 to the late Dayton Nunnally and Mae Belle Whitfield Nunnally. Aunt Ruth loved the outdoors and to garden. She made the best red velvet cake and loved to host her family for Sunday lunch. She believed the UGA Bulldawgs were the only team to cheer for on football Saturdays. Margaret was a homemaker and is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph Webb, sister, Ilene Watts, sister, Robbie Worley, sister, Georgia Mae Willoughby, and brother, J.D. Nunnally. 

Ms. Webb is survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials and gifts can be donated to Chapelwood UMC Missions Committee, 100 Janice Drive Athens, Ga 30606.
