Sarah Lee Slater McEntyre

Mrs. Sarah Lee Slater McEntyre, age 89 of Antioch Church Road, Mount Airy went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 24, 2019.

Born January 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Hobart Lee Slater and Flora Lee Elrod Slater.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Stanley McEntyre, granddaughter Leigh Bush and sister, Betty Byrd.

She attended Central Alliance Church in Mt. Airy. She was retired from Ethicon in Cornelia.

Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Floyd McEntyre, Jr.; a daughter and son-in-law,

Janet and Rodger Bush; a son, Tim McEntyre; a daughter-in-law, Lisa McEntyre; grandchildren, Shane (Misty) McEntyre, Johnny (Jennifer) Bush, Dustin McEntyre, Clay (Malorie) McEntyre, Dylan (Ashlyn) McEntyre, Clif (Chelsey) McEntyre, Autumn (Joe) White, Austin McEntyre and Ainsley Steves; great-grandchildren, Alex, Lauren, Malorie, Mary-Kate, Trey, Kareden, Cam, Amelia, NoraLeigh, Mason, Skylar and London; a sister, Brenda Hall; a brother, Horace (Mary) Slater; sisters-in-law, Doris Stroud and Patricia Walters; a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. A special thank you to Michelle Underwood and Sherrie Howard of Homestead Hospice for their loving care and support.

Memorial services will be Saturday, April 27, 2019, 11 o’clock a.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Frank Clay and The Reverend Jim Harp officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Inurnment will follow in the Mount Bethel Community Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Sarah Lee Slater McEntyre.
