Birdis L. Worsham

Birdis L. Worsham was born December 16, 1942. She was the fifth of six children born to Lacy and Mae Worsham. After graduating from Fair Street High School in 1961, she moved to Los Angeles, CA where she worked in the laundry industry. She worked several years as an attendant at Bell Minor Nursing Home. When her parents became incapacitated, her nurturing personality led her to become their full-time caretaker. She also lovingly devoted her life to caring for three generations of nieces and nephews. She enjoyed gardening and the bonding she had with her lifetime Newtown neighborhood. She leaves to cherish her precious memories are her brother Bobby (Hilda) Worsham; two sisters Mae Catherine Wilmont, Gaile Cain and a host of other relatives and friends.
