Howard Fletcher Wright, age 87 of Mt. Airy, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.
Born in Alto, Georgia on March 30, 1932 to the late Fletcher Monroe and Montie Reece Purdy Wright. Mr. Wright was the owner and operator of Quality Pest Control with 34 years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Wright was a lifelong resident of Habersham County and loved his dogs, Heidi, Holly, Cricket, Ginger and Slick. He has been a member of Level Grove Baptist Church since 1943.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Popham Wright.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Karen & Bruce Standridge of Mt. Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Gary & Pam Wright of Clarkesville; sister, Evelyn Kimbrell of Chattanooga, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Wayne Popham of Clarkesville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am, Saturday, April 20, 2019 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Terry Rice officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 am until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
