Louise Josephine Allen

Louise Josephine Allen, age 83 of Clarkesville, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019.

Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on April 9, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Oliver G. and Maggie Wood Allen. Mrs. Allen was a payroll clerk with Scovill Mfg. with many years of service. She has been a lifelong resident of the Clarkesville area. Mrs. Allen has been a member at Clarkesville Baptist Church for 72years where she was in the Ruth Sunday School Class and instrumental in fund raising for all the church projects.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Howard Allen, Jack Allen, Grady Allen, Aubrey Allen, Jerry Allen and David Allen; sisters, Mary Roberts and Patricia Stewart.

Surviving are her loving husband, Claude Harold Allen of Clarkesville; son, David Harold Allen of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Gwendolyn & Denzil Hall of Clarkesville; grandchildren and spouses, Klee & Brooke Hall, Chris & Melissa Allen, Hollie & Shawn Shirley, Amanda & Drew Stone, Maggie Allen and Marcia Hall; 5 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Betty & Donald Davis of Dalonega; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Clarkesville Baptist Church with Rev. Grady Walden and Dr. Jerome Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Clarkesville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
