Paul J. Chapman, age 78 of Baldwin, Georgia passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019.
Born in Maysville, Georgia on July 03, 1940, he was a son of the late Luther Paul & Wilma Irene Durham Chapman. Mr. Chapman served his country proudly in the United States Army between the Korean Conflict & the Vietnam War. He retired as Assistant Chief of the V.C.S. with the Department of Veterans Affairs and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Banks County.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by his first wife, Rolletta Lee Landers Chapman and his second wife, Joyce Woods Chapman.
Survivors include his daughter, Paula Lynn Westbrook of Commerce, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Greg & Tracy Chapman of Baldwin, GA; grandchildren, Kaylee, Karlie, Kinley, & Kennedy Chapman all of Baldwin, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Bernice & Anthony Simmons of Cornelia, GA; James Travis & JoAnn Chapman, Jerry Eugene & Diane Chapman all of Clarkesville, GA; Charles Edward & Linda Chapman of Baldwin, GA; several nieces, nephews, & other relatives.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Elder Terrell Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 p.m. & 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
