Harrison J. Tallant

Harrison J. Tallant, age 78, of Cumming, GA., passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019.

He was a native of Forsyth County and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Harrison was a former Forsyth County Commissioner. He was a member of the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission where he served on the Development of Regional Impact Committee. He was an Army veteran and a charter member of the Veteran’s Alliance. Harrison was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Laila Phillips; daughter, Jennifer Leigh Tallant.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janie Chastain Tallant; children, Kevin and Heather Tallant, Julie and Jason Simmons; grandchildren, Branson, Sadie, Madeleine, and Dalton; sister, Rebecca Hardin and several other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Byrd and Rev. Lee Gaddis officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
