On April 2nd 2019, Allen Luther Hendrix, loving husband, father and Grandaddy to all, passed away at the age of 81. Allen was born November 23, 1937 in Suches, Georgia. He is survived by his wife of 60+ years, Jesann (Mimi) Hendrix, his daughter Marti Strand, his son Mark Hendrix, and his grandchildren, Hayli Holloway, Sean Seaman, Ryan Seaman, Ashley Duncan, Brittany Parker, Parker Hendrix, and countless other chosen children and grand children.
Allen better known as “Grandaddy” was a force to be reckoned with. He never met a stranger and touched the hearts and lives of all he met. There was nothing he wouldn’t try once, and twice if it suited him. He was a lover of diet dew and coconut cake. No challenge went unmet (Unless it was a snake. The only good snake, is a dead snake). He tried and loved hang gliding, water skiing, barrel racing, snowmobiling, and trail riding just to name a few. His love of horses was undeniable and he was as much a cowboy as it gets. But even more than that he loved all animals and children. He was a youth minister and a teacher to so many children who whether related or not chose him as their Grandaddy.
