Oree Annette Whitfield

Mrs. Oree Annette Whitfield, age 79, of Clermont, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019.

Mrs. Whitfield was born in Hall County to the late Ortha Ray and Jewell Bell Jones Wofford.  She was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Penny Roberts; brothers, Joe Bell Wofford and Harold Wofford; sister, Sue Talton; and grandson, Joseph McEntire.  Mrs. Whitfield was a textile worker and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters and sons in law, Deb and Edward McEntire, Clermont; Connie and Terry Roberts, Cleveland; Peggy and Thomas Roberts, Lavonia; daughter, Joann Distefona, Pensecola, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Charlotte Wade; son-in-law, Doug Roberts, Lavonia; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am Friday, April 5, 2019 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Mr. Edward McEntire and Ms. Kristie Parham will officiate.  Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the funeral home.
