On March 30,2019, we lost Peggy J. Abrahams, a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was 83 years young and surrounded by her immediate family, close friends, and faithful pet Honey at her home in Clermont, Georgia.
Peggy attended Gainesville High School and lived in several states across the Southeast where she worked managing physician offices and medical records. But her real passion was her grandchildren. She loved to take them on trips to Disney World countless times. When at home she enjoyed taking time to do everything with them from teaching them how to swim to listening compassionately to their trials and tribulations.
Peggy was very happily married to the late Leon (Stubby) H. Abrahams for over four decades, most of which time was spent in Clermont on their farm. She’s also preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, a brother, and granddaughter Yvonne. She is survived by one sister, children Rick Cooper, Jan Moore, and Chuck Cooper, as well as five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Many thanks are extended to her friends for all of their attention and care to her needs and feelings. Friends Judy Cooper and Tom Boling were especially helpful with her care in her last years since Stubby’s passing.
Per her request, a small family gathering will be held to celebrate her life.
