Betty Lucile Smith

Mrs. Betty Lucile Smith, age 73, of Nicholson died Friday, March 29, 2019 at Hill Haven Nursing Home.  Mrs. Smith was born in Commerce to the late, Ned and Bessie Brock Sims.  Mrs. Smith was a retired paraprofessional at Benton Elementary School and was a member at Nicholson Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was also preceded in death by her brothers, James and WF Sims; and sisters, Louise Sims Irvin and Florence Tootsie Whitehead.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Jimmy M. Smith of Nicholson; daughter, Robbin Nunns (Jim) of Cherryville, NC; son, Chris Smith (Jennifer) of Nicholson; sister, Lois Loggins of Nicholson; brothers, John, Gene, George, and Jackie Sims all of Gillsville; three grandchildren, Kevin Nunns, BrookeLynn Smith, and Jayce Smith.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 31^st at 2:00 PM from Nicholson Baptist Church with Rev. Vaughn Howington, Jr. and Rev. Rod Zwemke officiating with the interment following at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 4-8 PM.
