Betty Nimmons Adams

Mrs. Betty Nimmons Adams, age 89 of Mize Road, Toccoa passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.

A daughter of the lat Robert and Maude Chatham Nimmons, she was born August 7, 1929 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was retired from the Stephens County School System as a custodian and was a member of Carnes Creek Baptist Church where she helped in the Nursery Department. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle L. Adams in 1982.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Mary Adams of Toccoa; two daughters and son-in-law, Brenda Adams of Toccoa and Cindy and Todd Segars of Commerce; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 27, 2019, 11 O’clock a.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Henry Coker officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Johnny Smith, Tommy Herron, Marvin Burgess, Buster Adams, Brandon Adams and Grayson Segars.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Carnes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangement for Mrs. Betty Nimmons Adams.
