William Gearing

William “Bill” Harvey Gearing II, age 60 of Sautee, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019. 
 
Bill was born April 5, 1958, in Latrobe, PA, to June Nicely Gearing and the late William Harvey Gearing Sr. Bill graduated from Penn State University in 1981 with a degree in Landscape Architecture and was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Bill was a devoted father who was most at home in the stands cheering his children on in all their athletic pursuits. Throughout his life, Bill had a strong affinity for all things growing, and shared this gift freely throughout the community. 
 
Survivors include his wife, Jeannette; children, Kaitlyn, Will, Jenna, Rachel, Ellie, Lily, and Cole, all of Sautee; mother, June Gearing, Charlottesville, VA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Paula and Sterling Boone, Austin, TX; Pam and Craig Bradley, Charlottesville, VA; Mary and Michael Cullen, La Cañada, CA; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Teresa Gearing, Youngsville, NC; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. 
 
A memorial mass is scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church. Father Thad Rudd will officiate. Immediately following the service, the family will receive friends at Babyland General.
