James Albert Bryant, Sr., age 71 of Commerce, GA passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at his residence.
Born on April 19, 1947 in Charleston, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Clyde Lee and Emma Parsons Bryant. He was a truck driver with Trans South, of the Baptist faith, enjoyed scuba diving, was 2018 trucker of the year, and drove 3 million miles. James excelled in everything he did.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Skelton Bryant of the residence; son, James Albert Bryant, Jr.; daughter, Michelle Bryant; brother, Donald Bryant; sisters, Barbara Haynes, Patricia Hively, Connie Embry; and 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Skelton officiating. The family will receive friends 12 until
2 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
