Bartly Gene Thomas

Bartly Gene Thomas, age 38, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Monday. He was of the Christian faith and a member of the former Bible Baptist Church. 

Bartly was a husband, father, brother, son and organ donor.  He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed long rides in the mountains and playing on the beach. He loved spending time and playing games with his family. Some of his fondest memories were riding four wheelers with his dad and sisters and playing cards with his dad and grandfather.

Bartly was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Hawkins, his paternal grandparents, Arnold and Jean Thomas.

Bartly is survived by his wife, Maria Fernandez Thomas, his children, Elianna Thomas, and his step-son, Carter Wallace, his son, Alex Thomas and his fiancé Meghan Lowe of Gainesville, Georgia, his parents, Gene and Pandy Thomas of Gainesville, Georgia, his sister, Kaley Compton and brother-in-law, Josh Compton of Lexington, Georgia, his sister, Ashley Thomas and her fiancé Charles Patton, of Douglasville, Georgia and his grandmother, Jolly Hawkins of Gainesville, Georgia.

His internment will be at Memorial Park Columbarium.
