Cecil Gilstrap

Cecil C. Gilstrap, age 77 of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 following an extended illness.

Mr. Gilstrap was born May 2, 1941 in White County to the late John C. Gilstrap and Gertrude Abernathy Gilstrap. Cecil was a self-employed landscaper, he enjoyed gardening in his spare and was of the Holiness Faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Guy Gilstrap, Clifford Gilstrap and Sue Gilstrap Meeks.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, J.C. and Essie Gilstrap, Murrayville; sister-in-law, Roberta Gilstrap, Dahlonega; cousin and wife, Butch and Wanda Gilstrap, Cleveland; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Monday, March 11, 2019 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Monday the funeral home prior to the memorial service.
