Jerry Whidby

Jerry Whidby, age 79, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Daisy Martin Whidby, and brother, Thomas Eugene Whidby. Mr. Whidby is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Renda Vaughn Whidby, Sugar Hill; son, Michael Whidby, Sugar Hill; sister, Judy Whidby Hall, Stone Mountain, GA; sisters-in-law, Retha (Tony) Wade, Cumming, GA, and Elaine Suggs, Atlanta, GA; niece, Jennifer Hall Green and husband Douglas; nephew, Jason Hall; and several cousins. Mr. Whidby was born on October 17, 1939 in Buford, GA. He was a 1957 graduate of South Hall High School, and he was a retired construction where he owned his own business. Mr. Whidby attended Riverside Baptist Church in Buford.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Akins officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverside Baptist Church c/o David Hill in memory of Jerry Whidby.
