Mrs. Keifer Mae Davis Long, age 81 of Toccoa passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Beehive Assisted Living in Toccoa.
A daughter of the late Robert Kieffer Davis and Mae Flynn Davis, she was born July 15, 1937 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived in Corinth, Mississippi for 42 years and in Toccoa since 2003. She was a 1955 graduate of Eastanollee High School and was a retired School Teacher with Corinth Elementary School System. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Toccoa, the singing saints of the church, a former member of Toccoa Pilot Club and a volunteer with the Currahee Museum.
Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” H. Long of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Tommy Wofford of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina and Carrie and Frank Maturo of Darien, Connecticut; son and daughter-in-law, William A. “Andy” Long and Christy of Saltillo, Mississippi; grandson, Ben and Samantha Wofford; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 27, 2019, 11 O’clock a.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend David Ritcey officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Ben Wofford, Tommy Wofford, Frank Maturo, Barron Harbin, Jerry Snell and Andy Long.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Wednesday, 10 a.m. until the service time. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Keifer Mae Davis Long.
