Rachel Evelyn Davenport

Rachel Evelyn Davenport, age 76 of Toccoa, GA passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019.

Born on Aug. 28, 1942 in Orme, TN, she was the daughter of the late Luther C. and Lillie Mae Matthews Nunley. She was the widow of James E. Davenport, a homemaker, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel Diane Shreaves, brothers, Franklin Nunley, Crit Nunley, Billy Joe Nunley; sisters, Willie Mae Nunley, Ruby Kilgore and Mary Lou Farris.

Survivors include sons, Charles E. Davenport, Carnesville, Thomas L. Davenport, Commerce, James W. Davenport, Sr., Commerce, Robert W. Davenport, Toccoa; 15 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randall Stapleton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 pm until time of the service at the funeral home.
