Dennis Paul Shell, age 63, of Lakemont, Georgia, passed away on February 7, 2019.
Paul was born the son of the late Byron B. Shell and Belle L. Shell Ruffin, on September 26, 1955 in Forsyth, Georgia. Paul grew up with a love for the outdoors. He often enjoyed going hiking, camping and exploring with his family. He enjoyed playing golf, as well as taking nature photography. He was a lover of music and was a musician, playing guitar and writing songs as a member of the “Red Dirt Band.” He was a loving husband and father.
His parents preceded him in death.
His survivors include his loving wife, Catherine Carr Shell, of Lakemont; his son, Dane Patrick Shell, of Lakemont; his daughter, Hayley Marie Shell Campbell (Kyle), of Taipei, TW; his two brothers, Barry B. Shell, of Clayton and Bobby L. Shell, of Forsyth.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Rabun Memory Park in Tiger, Georgia at 3:00 pm with Rev. Cliff Lewis officiating and Rev. David Rogers assisting. The family will receive friends following the service at the Mac Building at Clayton Baptist Church in Clayton, Georgia.
