Mr. John Lloyd Vinson, age 66 of Arthur Avenue, Oakwood passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at his residence.
A son of the late Lloyd and Betty Brooks Vinson, he was born October 9, 1952 in Fulton County, Georgia having lived the last several years in Hall County, Georgia. He was retired from Bell South and was of the Methodist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Davis Vinson in 2009.
Survivors include two sons, David Vinson of Alpharetta, Georgia and Eric Vinson of Cumming, Georgia; two sisters, Diane Etheridge of Oakwood and Janet Holmes of Montney, Tennessee; granddaughter, Bianca Vinson.
A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, February 3, 2019, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Paul Garrison officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, 1 p.m. until the service time. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
