Donald Ray Carver, 70, of Flowery Branch, passed away January 29, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Hugh Hubbard and Mr. William DuBois officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born on December 9, 1948 in Columbus, GA he was the son of the late Willis B. and Gertrude S. Carver. Mr. Carver was retired from Lucent Technology and a deacon at Refuge Worship Center.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Carver and sister, Norma Carver.
Mr. Carver is survived by his wife of 29 years, Vanissa Carver of Flowery Branch; daughter, Roz Carver of Vonore, TN, son, Dax Carver of Studio City, CA; son, William DuBois of Commerce, GA; daughter, Brandy Morris of Flowery Branch, GA; son, Timothy DuBois of Flowery Branch, GA; 14 grandchildren; brothers, Arthur Carver and Fletcher Carver both of Gainesville; sisters, Sherry Armstrong of Dahlonega, Karen Redimarker of Cherryfield, ME and a number of other relatives.
