Gregory Earl Bryant

Mr. Gregory Earl Bryant age 52 of Gainesville passed away on Saturday January 26, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral service are scheduled for Saturday February 02, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will Receive friends on Friday February 01, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Greg was born on August 23, 1966 in Gainesville, Georgia to Sidney Bryant and Martha Outz Bryant.  He was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Greg was hard-working, generous, and possessed a witty and sharp sense of humor that will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He would often have his entire family hysterical with laughter at something he said or a story he was conveying. Family gatherings will never be the same in his absence. Greg enjoyed racing go-carts, working on cars, and was an avid Ford enthusiast. He liked reading and learning new technologies. He had an engineer’s mind and great ideas on how to improve upon machinery and processes throughout his career in Industrial Maintenance. Dealing with rheumatoid arthritis, and later suffering a stroke, sidelined him from his career but provided more family time, especially with his young granddaughter, who instantly became the light of his life.

Mr. Bryant is survived by his mother and father, Martha and Sidney Bryant of Murrayville, loving wife of 34 years, Dana Bryant of Gainesville, son, Brandon Bryant of Murrayville, daughter and son-in-law, Hailey and Brant Shropshire of Jefferson, grand-daughter, Lily Kate Shropshire, brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Laurie Bryant of Dahlonega, sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and Derry Collins of Dahlonega and a number of nieces and nephews. His family is taking comfort in the knowledge that he is now safe and pain-free in the hands of The Lord.
